Happy Father's Day :)

The last time I spent Father's Day with my dad was about 8 years ago, right before I took off to Canada. For these years I simply just gave him a call on the day and wish that I was there with him. Shirts, ties, polo shirts, belt, handmade cards even handmade album frame were the gifts that I have gotten him before. It's not easy to get gift for my dad because basically he doesn't miss anything in his life, but now right, I think he really misses his health and sadly this would be the only thing that I can't get him, no matter how much I do, there is no way that I can get him the moon hanging up there.....

After so long we finally get to spend the Father's Day together but it seems like just another usual Sunday for everyone, my dad is no longer the man who likes to invite friends and have dinner at the restaurant; and my mom is hardly put up a big smile on her face unless my dad resumes his energies like before. And myself, I am still who I am except I can no longer spend my weekend reading my book at the cafe but instead, I get up early and take a walk with my dad at the park near my place. It's sad that he has gone through so much in these few months and there are so little that I can do to make him feel better; but at least I am with him, with my mom who worries the most in the family and become the nurse (to check his blood sugar), the maid (to cook him every single meals) and the superwoman, to cheer him up.

Though I may not be able to spend my afternoon as I wanted to, but I can still sneak out during the afternoon and shop for my new reading material. Here it is....

I got attracted by the storyline and I love Jodi Picoult's writing. The story is about a boy who refuses to make eye contact with the others in his life with his gifted forensic analysis. He is right, usually - until one day his tutor found dead and he looks guilty with all the hallmark behaviors of Asperger's. I got so into it after I read the first few pages and I am so keeping it in my bag till the day I finish reading it.

First blog (officially) in my life

Hello all! Hello my new blog! This is my first blog ever and hopefully I can stick to it and so that I can share all my thoughts with my beloved ones :)

I tend to make my first blog short as it's already mid-night. Just came home a while ago from a long catch up with my bro's best friend in Canada. It's always sweet to meet up with someone who you knew for so long but have not contacted for years; the connection between us didn't get cut or lost. We may have changed our appearance, our thoughts towards a lot of things but I know, we are still who we are :)

First hot yoga class tomorrow since I moved back. Better be good.....
